President Outreach to County LeadersPresident Kevin Rooney has sent a personalized letter to every County Executive/Manager/Administrator in the state in an effort to build greater awareness and appreciation of the important work performed by NYSCHSA Members, the benefits of county membership and participation in the association, as well as encouraging the county leaders to keep us informed when there is change in their departments. Here is the letter:
February 2023 [Personalized Address] Dear County Executive [Manager] [Administrator]: Greetings from the New York State County Highway Superintendents Association. As the newly-installed President of NYSCHSA, I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to you and share some information about our association and all that it offers for the betterment of counties across the Empire State. NYSCHSA is the non-profit organization that promotes the construction and maintenance of a safe and modern county roads system and other allied transportation infrastructure. As you know, this is a very important mission—with more than 21,000 miles of county highways and more than 9,000 local bridges in New York State. NYSCHSA is the go-to resource for your Highway Superintendent, Director or Commissioner of Public Works.
